The recreation department is comprised of a part-time Director of Parks and Programs, Commission Chair, Pavilion Coordinator and Groundskeepers.  These positions are hired or appointed by the Town Board.
The tennis nets are up.
There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony this week that will be set up and announced by Supervisor McKeon. The new LED Tennis Court Lights will be installed on Wednesday, 8 August 2018, beginning at 7:00 a.m. The new handicapped walkways to the Tennis Courts are being seal coated today.
In short, everything should be ready for the ribbon cutting.

Completed Eagle Scout Project

Jimmy Melitski of Red Hook Boy Scout Troop #42 completed his Eagle Scout Project that consisted of selecting and preparing sites along the Mountain View Trail to install four benches for trail users. This project involved selecting, ordering, assembling, painting, labeling, and securely installing the benches. Jimmy and his crew of scouts completed the project on 20 May 2018.

The mission of the Town of Red Hook Recreation Commission is to provide wholesome and safe leisure service programs and facilities to Red Hook residents of all ages and abilities.  By providing quality services to meet the recreational and leisure needs of the community, we will strive to enrich and to improve the well being and quality of life for present and future generations. 

The Recreation Commission will provide quality facilities through sound planning, development, maintenance and preservation of parklands, and through the development of quality leisure services, programs, and activities.
