Senior Services Committee

October is Weatherization Month! 

On Tuesday, October 30th, starting at 4pm, the Town of Red Hook Senior Services Committee will host an event at the Red Hook Community Center, located at 59 Fisk Street, in the Village of Red Hook.

The purpose of this event is to assist Dutchess County Residents in signing up for free and/or low cost weatherization programs through Dutchess County and New York State.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Red Hook Senior Services Committee is to serve as a resource for assessing the needs of the senior community, gathering information regarding how to address those needs and promoting the social, economic and health related services which impact upon the safety, independence and well-being of seniors.

Important Community Activities & Events

The Caregivers' Support Group meets every 3rd Monday, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Saint Francis Home Care, 26 IBM Road, Poughkeepsie. This support group focuses on the importance of taking care of yourself when you are providing care for an aging parent or loved one. 

It offers helpful tools and techniques as well as information on available community services. Call 845-483-5560 to register for this free workshop.
