 Notice of Public Hearing

 PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Red Hook Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at a Special Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 7:00 PM, for the appeal listed below. Instructions for public comment and attending the meeting remotely are below. ZBA 20-02 Jackson Appeal for Two Area Variances Cara Jackson application for two area variances to construct a 500 SF addition on the subject parcel, which would result in a 14.5% Building Coverage, to be located 6 feet from the side yard lot line of the subject parcel. Town of Red Hook Zoning Law Section 14312, The District Schedule of Area and Bulk Regulations, limits maximum building coverage in the R1.5 Zoning District to 10%, and requires a minimum 20’ side yard lot line setback for the principal building. The subject parcel is located at 4 Cornell Avenue, in the R1.5 Zone, of the Town of Red Hook. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 202.1, and advisories issued by Federal, State, and Local officials, related to the COVID-19 virus, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold the meeting remotely. There will be no in person gathering at the Town Hall. The meeting will be held by video conference and can be viewed at:

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all persons in favor of or in opposition to the above application will have an opportunity to be heard. If you would like to participate in the public hearing live via audio, you may call 1+(646)876-9923 and enter the following meeting ID 81872952074, and meeting password 717472. Once you are logged in, you will be placed in the Virtual Waiting Room. The moderator will let you into the meeting at the appropriate time. You can watch the proceedings of the meeting via the live stream link while you are waiting. When you enter the meeting, you will be muted to give you time to turn off the volume on the YouTube page to prevent feedback.

 All interested persons are also given the opportunity to be heard by sending a letter, via email to arubin@redhook.orq or via regular mail at the Town of Red Hook ZBA Office at 7340 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571 or via hand-delivery at the drop box at Town Hall. Regular mail must be received by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing to be included in the record.
